Ako Kaky is a community activist and university professor from Kirkuk. He took part in many volunteering activities with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and Kokar Foundation for sustainable development and Volunteerism. He had a leading role in “For You” campaign to support IDPs. In addition to his job as a Chemistry lecturer at the University of Kirkuk, Ako is interested and works on gender equality, peacebuilding, and promoting good governance. His future plans are to go for local elections in Kirkuk. He is participating in the Political Candidate Track of Iraq Leadership Fellows Program.
